About Us: Weeks on End was conceptualised in 2014 by singer and songwriter, Hayley Marshall. It was under this name that she started writing rock songs inspired by the likes of Green Day, Paramore, and Midnight Oil. After her solo debut, ‘Mania’ was released in September 2022, Hayley started recruiting other creatives to make her originals come to life, and create new, unique content.
In 2023, bassist Abraham Box and Erick Perdomo-Borelly joined forces with Hayley to bring you the Y2K act, ‘lowrise’, and the edgy-but-emotional original rock songs you hear today. Each member has garnered success in their own rights, and together, create a rhythmic wall of sound that can’t be ignored.
Hayley is Weeks on End’s lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player. She first started singing almost 20 years ago and started playing piano soon after. In her early teens she pursued guitar after her dad started learning and recorded her first song at age 14.
Since turning 18, she has been playing acoustic gigs around Sydney, including The Hard Rock Cafe, and has previously been the opening act for Wendy Matthews. In 2022, she released her debut single ‘Mania’, which garnered many positive reviews and press.
Her most notable influences include Paramore, Billy Joel, and Tove Lo.
Erick Perdomo-Borelly is our resident lead guitarist and shredding extraordinaire. He is a musician from Sydney, Australia, currently residing in the south-west Sydney suburb of Liverpool.
My earliest memories of music and the guitar first came with the old-time Latin music his parents played on the radio, Australian children rock band ‘The Wiggles’, and the underground pop-punk music popular in video games of the early-to-mid 2000s. He began playing guitar at age 9 and took classical guitar lessons. At age 12, he pursued the electric guitar and has been self-taught since then.
You may also find him shredding it up for Blackened Rose, Noon Shift, Beautiful Stink, and The Leash. Erick has also released solo music under his own name, and currently does session work with other bands/artists.
His most notable influences include Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Randy Rhoads (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne), Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Angus Young (AC/DC), Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen), Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai.
Abraham Box is our rhythm-rearing bassist and backing vocalist.
Abe started playing bass in high school after his music teacher suggested he plays bass. After playing gigs for school, he decided to pursue his creativity and study Music and Creative Industries at WSU. After the completion of his studies, he has been sure to keep his creative talent alive by playing as much music as possible. You may also find him in other bands such as Crying Cacti, Paris New, and The Main Course.
His most notable influences include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, and Tame Impala.
Lewis is the band’s drummer. He first started playing the drums in high school at the age of 15, finding his beginnings in heavy rock and metal drumming. He studied drums under a mentor throughout high school, being self taught since the age of 18. He strives to explore new music and styles to expand his knowledge and individual sound.
Lewis’ origins in drumming were that of metal, thrash and punk. He initially played in high school with his friends, performing covers from the likes of Metallica, Blink 182 and Iron Maiden. After graduating, he moved on to explore his own styles, finding creativity in a wide variety of sounds, ranging from 90s Japanese City Pop to Prog Metal. You may also see him playing for Crying Cacti and Paris New.
His most notable influences include Trivium, Masayoshi Takanaka, Phoenix and Cafune.
